Peter Weyland

Peter Weyland is the founder and owner of the Weyland Corporation who funded Prometheus and it's journey to LV223. He appears aboard Prometheus during the crew's introduction into the reason and mission status as a WMCD after the crew emerge from stasis. During this speech he suggests that by the time the crew see the WMCD he has already passed away, but known only to David is actually aboard craft. He makes himself known to the crew after David discovers the Last Engineer, making it to the Temple on their third journey into the Alien Temple.

Early Life

Sir Peter Weyland is the owner of the Weyland Corporation.

He was born in Mumbai, India in 1990, the son of an Oxford Educated Professor of Comparative Mythology, and a self-taught software Engineer.

By the age of fourteen, Weyland had registered a dozen patents in biotech, robotics and other diverse fields. His 12th registered Method Patent was for a synthetic trachea constructed entirely of synthetically-engineered stem cells.

This spawned the empire of Weyland Corporation, which, in less than a decade, became a worldwide leader in emerging technologies. It launched the first privatized industrial mission in space to install The Solstice which garnered Weyland his first billion.

In 2016 he gained worldwide recognition thanks to his dynamic break-throughs in generating synthetic atmosphere above the polar ice cap and ending the global warming. He achieved knighthood at age 25, one of the youngest people to become so. He is honored with the Nobel Peace prize in Science.

Peter Weyland generated controversy when he announced his intent to build the first convincingly humanoid robotic system by 2030, he challenged the ethical boundaries of medicine with nanotechnology and the Vatican on the issue of gene-therapy sterilization

He went through a three year media blackout before emerging to reveal his next step.
